Srivaikuntanathan Perumal Temple
The Srivaikuntanathan Perumal Temple is one of the 108 Divya Desams, the sacred Vishnu temples praised by the Alwars in the Divya Prabandham. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu as Srivaikuntanathan, this temple is considered one of the holiest Vaishnavite shrines in Tamil Nadu.
The temple is renowned for its impressive Rajagopuram, intricate stone carvings, spacious mandapams, and centuries-old inscriptions that reflect the artistic excellence of the Pandya dynasty. Pilgrims believe that worshipping here removes obstacles and brings peace, prosperity, and spiritual fulfillment.
Major festivals such as Vaikunta Ekadasi, Brahmotsavam, and Garuda Sevai attract thousands of devotees every year. The temple’s location on the banks of the Tamirabarani River further enhances its religious significance.
