The District Boxers Association arranged 4 special vans, sports equipment and other items for the Thoothukudi district boys and girls who will participate in the state boxing tournament to be held in Namakkal from Sept. 1 to 4.
More than 60 students from Thoothukudi district are participating in the competition organized by the School Education Department. In this regard, a consultation meeting with the players and coaches was held at a private restaurant in Thoothukudi under the chairmanship of Abhishek Ponseelan.
At that time, activities including improving the sport of boxing in the Thoothukudi district, developing new players, and adding new members to the association were discussed.The association provided 2 vans for male and 2 vans for female students, sports equipment, and necessary arrangements for coaches to participate in the state competition, free of charge.
